Legolas was actually quite a joy to pose, since her legs had a lot of freedom of movement (compared to some of the previous characters.) Legolas is mentioned as being "lithe," which meant that the poses could be quite graceful in appearance. I looked a lot at ballet, whereas for the bow-and-arrow pose, I also did a lot of research on proper archery form.
