So Glorfindel is this really super-powerful elf who makes a small appearance during the story of The Lord of the Rings. He is mainly described as having gold hair (which is what his name means). He's wise and fearless: He's not afraid of the Nazgûl and the Nazgûl fear him. Frodo actually sees him glow/shine (which I kinda wanted to put in the painting too). So yeah, super uber-elf :)
